Thomas A. Thomas, CPA, PFS, CGMA
Founding partner Tom Thomas is a seasoned certified public accountant with four decades of experience serving clients in an array of industries.
Born in Toronto, Canada, Mr. Thomas has lived most of his life in Florida. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Florida, where he majored in accounting.
In addition to being a CPA, Mr. Thomas also has a Chartered Global Management Accountant designation, is an accredited Personal Financial Specialist and is a Uniform Investment Adviser with a Series 65 Securities License. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Carol E. Zurcher, CPA, PFS, CGMA
As a partner of Thomas & Zurcher, P.A., Carol Zurcher specializes in all aspects of federal taxation with an emphasis in employee benefits and retirement plans. A certified public accountant, Ms. Zurcher is also an accredited Personal Financial Specialist, has a Chartered Global Management Accountant designation, and is a Uniform Investment Adviser with a Series 65 Securities License.
Ms. Zurcher is also highly active in her profession, and belongs to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. For the AICPA, Ms. Zurcher has performed many roles: She has served on and chaired the Employee Benefits Tax Resource Panel, served on the Tax Executive Committee, and served on the National Employee Benefits Conference and the National Tax Conference Planning Committees, in addition to being a presenter at several national conferences.
Born in Ohio, Ms. Zurcher moved to Sanibel Island, Florida, as a teenager, then attended Florida State University College of Business, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting.
A passionate philanthropist, Ms. Zurcher supports numerous local and national charities. She has volunteered at the Arnold Palmer Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, has served on the Board of Florida Leaders Council, and has chaired The Annual Winter Park Partners in Progress fundraiser. She has volunteered with IMPower, Inc., a nonprofit agency that provides support, mentoring and empowerment to Central Florida children living in unstable homes or who are otherwise in need.
Eric Winchell, CPA
Eric Winchell brings over thirty years of individual and corporate tax compliance experience and retirement plan administration experience.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. A graduate of Ferris State University, Mr. Winchell enjoys sports and various outdoor activities.
